Responsibilities

Assessing and determining the amount of tax payable by individuals, businesses, and other entities based on applicable tax laws and regulations.

Collecting taxes due to the state government in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Registering individuals, businesses, and other entities for tax purposes, assigning them tax identification numbers (TINs), and maintaining accurate taxpayer records.

Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations through taxpayer education, enforcement actions, and penalties for non-compliance.

Providing taxpayer assistance, guidance, and information on tax laws, filing requirements, and payment options.

Resolving tax disputes between taxpayers and the tax authority through administrative processes or legal means.
